Tires for 2008 Racing Season!
Decisions have been made for spec tires for the 2008 season. Oval will stay with the Maxxis EL for all classes except for the Animal Medium class that will run on the HT3. Price will be the same at $150.00 plus tax ($158.25). The Sprint Program -2 cycle and 4 cycle - all classes will run on the MG/HZ (last year it was known as the MG/SLE). The cost is $189.00 plus tax (199.40) JR Sportsman SLE $181.44 plus tax (191.42). If you need to purchase tires for the 2008 season from the track, you will need to pre-order them by Tuesday April 8th and will be available for the Hay Bale Party. Please call Scott at 414-234-8230 or e-mail us at paape8@yahoo.com with your order.
USAIR MG Tire Payback Program
Since the cost of tires have gone up this year we would like to help you out by implementing a Payback Program. The program will consist of a punch card with your name on it, this card will be punched for every tire purchased through the track, after the card is has been punched "8" times you will receive a free race entry to use at a regular race series event.

Getting Ready for 2008 Season
Hope everyone is ready for the 2008 season! Scott and I have been working on getting the schedules together for all of the exciting events that are taking place this year at USAIR. By visiting Schaumburg, Illinois’ KMI Show, we definitely got motivated to jump in with both feet. We benefited from the show by making new contacts, getting ideas on improving things and also keeping our karting relationships growing.
Our season opens April 12-13 with our annual Hay Bale Party (as long as the snow melts) with all who help being able to practice on Sunday for free (be sure to get your pass from me on Saturday.)
Our Maxxis Tire Oval Series will begin with a Money Race on May 3rd, with our regular season starting on May 9th. We will have a 12 race season, all racers who want to qualify for year-end awards will have to race 9 races. The new buzz this year with the oval program is the Masters (Fat Guy) class. Scott and Josh Henry have been working hard at putting together an affordable “package” featuring the Honda motor to introduce people to karting.
The MG Tire Sprint Series will start on April 19th with 13 races and once again having our double race weekends. All racers who want to qualify for year end awards will have to race 10 races. We also want you to start thinking about our year-end backwards and specialty races, we had so much fun last year and would like more people to participate. This year is the “Year of Endurance Races”, and Scott has organized a TaG 200 Endurance Race for June 20-22 with on-line registration on the front page of the web-site. He has also organized a Masters Twin 30 race for anyone over the age of 35. With $15,000.00 in cash prizes this is really going to be an exciting weekend. And for those who always look forward to USAIR’s 5th Annual Endurance Race, we will be holding that on October 25-26 with a separate Shifter Shoot-Out on Saturday.
Fox Valley Sports Car Club and those crazy ClubFR Drifter guys will be visiting USAIR this year with more dates. On June 14th USAIR will be hosting Street Fest ’08 which is a car show featuring Street Diaries. You can go to www.streetfest08 .com for more info.
A new entity to USAIR this year is a MotoCross track. William Bell of Marathon Off- Road Racing is bringing racers to USAIR for three dates: May 31th, July 20th and September 7th. USAIR is also hosting the Minimoto Nationals on the weekend of August 2-3, with bikers coming from as far Texas. Northwoods GP Minimoto Series will be racing at USAIR also with an evergrowing series.
The Stars of Karting is coming to invade Shawano again for the forth year on the weekend of July 11-13. We always look forward to these teams visiting our track, we have made some great relationships through out the years and anticipate a great weekend again. Another series to visit our track for the forth year is the Mid-West Sprint Series. Missy and her gang are always welcome with some exciting racing.
Our biggest and most involved race this season is the Rotax Grand Nationals, we have been working on this race for two months already and it isn’t until September 6th. This race will be a week long race with a multitude of events taking place. We would like to thank Joe Ramos for picking our track for this grand experience. We have been working with a promoter out of Las Vegas “Ray Verhelst” and he has taken this event beyond the next level.
We hope we have packed this season with new and exciting features to keep everyone happy and anxious to visit the track. So get ready for 2008 – I know we are!
See you at the track- Scott and Jenni Paape
